WorldPride House

WorldPride House

WorldPride House hosted over 120 events and exhibitions during the 11 days of WorldPride in Malmö. It was fantastic to have such a large number of motivated organisations and individuals collaborating or individually holding events.

We organised the events into 9 different ‘tracks of knowledge’ in order to encompass a greater breadth of issues that arise for our community in different areas of society and around the world. These 9 tracks were: Human Rights, Education and Academia, Politics and Law, Health, Sexual Identity and Relations, Culture and Creativity, Sports and Leisure, Business and Economics, and Work Life.

Our event holders came from around Sweden and abroad. They were companies, organisations and individuals who were actively engaged in different areas of society including political actors, those working in business and inclusive workplaces and in civil society organisations, among others. The range of expertise helped us to create a representative and inclusive WorldPride House for each of our community members spread throughout our 9 tracks of knowledge.

Holding such an event during a pandemic, naturally we had some barriers to overcome in order to host the most inclusive WorldPride House possible, for those who could not travel to Sweden or those who did not wish to be in a room with others at this time. To combat this, we had a combination of digital events that were accessible around the world, physical events in WorldPride House, and hybrid events that were both in person and online. It was fantastic to see engagement from many different countries all around the world.

Embassy Engagement Programme

Another way that we attempted to create the most inclusive WorldPride was through the Embassy Engagement Programme. This….. *Add in the report from Aron.

The Refugees, Borders and Immigration summit and pre-summit programme.

WorldPride House also hosted the Refugees, Borders and Immigration summit and pre-summit programmes. This international summit ….. *add link to the summit and pre summit pages.

A very warm thank you to you all!

Finally, a huge thank you! To all of you who got engaged during the 11 days of events digitally in person. To all our event holders who contributed their time and expertise with us all. Thank you also to those who gave us permission to share their events after WorldPride was over. This provides an opportunity for the positive impact and learning to continue past the 11 days of events and you can now find these events in each tab for the different tracks of knowledge.
